Christmas Party Outfit Ideas & more!

Dressing for the party season!

This year * FINGERS AND TOES CROSSED * it is looking like most of us can celebrate Christmas together again. Yah! Covid has been a lot of things (mostly unwanted) but it has certainly taught us how to seek out a silver lining. One thing we've learnt this year is how valuable time with our family and friends is. This Christmas, it feels so important to spend quality time together and to really HAVE SOME FUN! We can't wait to socialise, click 'attending' and enjoy the festive season! So, whether you're popping Champagne, peeling prawns or dancing late into the New Year...we've got you covered. Here are our Christmas Party outfit ideas for the festive season and beyond.

We're going to start with a bit of sparkles! Sequins, lurex and all things shimmering are not only on-trend this season, but they're a sure-fire way to get into the festive mood. We've been dying for a reason to get a little glam and Christmas is it! In store, we have a gorgeous metallic chocolate sequin top that is deceptively comfortable and versatile. Sequins give you maximum impact with minimal effort. You can style a sequin top with white jeans for an effortless glam look or really go to town with wide leg trousers and killer heels. If you want something a little more subtle, choose a lurex fabrication. We have a few stunning pieces remaining from M Missoni in store - think black batwing mini dresses or a V-neck jumpsuit! For something even more understated, you can't go past the timeless pieces from Fabiana Filippi. Add a red lip and you're good to go! In summary, the answer is yes, metallics, sequins and all things that shimmer are not only ok, but encouraged!

Speaking of colour palettes, an outfit of red, white or green is still a fab option for a Christmas outfit. Our recommendation this season would be to opt for an all white ensemble. This monochromatic look feels fresh, sophisticated and more often than not, is easier to work back into your wardrobe once the party season is over! For a chic look for a corporate Christmas party outfit, style a white cotton blazer with tonal trousers and metallic accessories. For that festive Christmas lunch, try a linen dress with a red, statement belt to make things POP! When in doubt, a classic white dress with a twist will be able to take you from day to night with the swap of a shoe.

If you have a particularly special event on your calendar - perhaps that long awaited wedding is *finally* happening, you've booked a stunning event for New Years or you and the girls have decided to dress up Just Because - you need a drop dead gorgeous dress. It's as simple as that. Our pick for the season is a stunning mesh gown from DVF. Diane von Furstenberg knows how to drape fabric is the most flattering and feminine way and this dress is a perfect display of it. Featuring a v neck that stops in just the right place, the lightweight fabric then knots under the bust and cascades to the floor. The result is a dress that creates a feminine form, highlighting your bust and giving the illusion of a cinched waist...yet secretly you are in the MOST comfortable party dress of all time. And yes, the base colour is a vibrant red that will make you feel and look fabulous.

We hope this gives you some great outfit inspiration for the party season this year! Christmas outfits can be tricky, but we've got you covered.
